The similarly named "Malware Domain Blocklist" (called "Malware domains" in uBO) has been inactive since June, 2018 https://www.malwaredomains.com/

(Off-topic note: I've been using the Quad9 DNS lately as protection against malware domains because it's continuously updated.)

Motivated by discussion here, I've made a rule-set for English sites user who wanna use medium mode but were frustrated by the "initial barrier". The rules won't eliminate the need for fine-tuning (I'm not an English sites user. But I tried to make it compatible w/ as many English sites as possible) - the web is living, rules work today won't work tomorrow (I'm pretty sure the rules would include some dead ones, forgive me for it!) - yet I hope this to encourage those who'd like to see what it looks like to browse w/ default-deny approach, by reducing the hardest period of initial training. I've tried to make the rules usable for everyone - so don't blame me for making some lax rules.

Out of scope:
(1) payment system - As the rules don't include most of US/intl payment systems, I recommend you to temporary turn default-deny off when you purchase sth until you become intimate w/ how to deal with it.
(2) mobile sites - I use different rule sets for mobile, but my energy worn out after building the desktop rules.

If a site is broken:
Temporary turn off blocking 3rd-party script & frame and reload the page. ONLY IF the breakage has gone by this, you need to hunt down the responsible domain. First of all, expand the domain grid to show all sub-domains. Here are some tips:
(1) domain name is the biggest clue. Often, but not always, the responsible domain has names like example-assets.example.net or expl-cdn.something.com and/or yellow-colored in the grid.
(2) sometimes, after nooping a domain another new domain emerges which must also be nooped.
(3) in some rare cases you need to noop certain ad/tracker domain.
But practice makes perfect - the more you become intimate w/ various domain names, the easier your decision will be.

If you have interest, import the rules under "My rule" pane. Enjoy safer browsing!

Yup, you did incorrectly. Just copy & paste what I wrote in #4063. I didn't write "://www.bild.de
" and have no idea where it came from. Also your second line lacks ")". It should look like this:

Make sure you're using Firefox if you use this filter.

 

Ofc that works, but now some images won't be loaded once you flushed browser cache and videos will be broken. But it's okay if your problem was solved.

 

I did that originally for what you said and that did not work. Then I tried a few different things which also did not work. When I only have nothing is blocked and the page still appears. Maybe because I'm still using an older FF version (52.9.0 ESR) (uBlock ver 1.16.4.7) Thanks for pointing out that some functions may not work which in my case doesn't matter.

 

Yup, I should have confirmed your exact browser first. Try the code for Chromium. I think that works for older Firefox.

Okay, can you open a gear icon next to "I am an advanced user" (need to be checked) in the setting and find "streamScriptInjectFilters" (or possibly, other names indicating script injection) option? If you find it was set to "false", change this to "true", restart your browser (just in case), and retry the Chromium code. If it still doesn't work or was not the case, I give up.

 

i would like to help but the major problem ist that BILD authors read all important ublock forums to avoid blocking of their current scripts. thus BILD is on my blocking list and its content is _very_ questionable. wilders, camp-firefox and more.

what i can tell you that you need an anti-adblocking script, filter or extension to help your current adblocker (my favirorite is uBo). could reduce annoyance. best is to stay away and read SZ (süddeutsche), or FAZ (frankfurter) or TAZ (berlin). or buy BILD as a paper.

I don't think so. The AAB found in the site was very elementary one, definitely not the one in the such site.

I know a such site called Avgle, they responded to any A-AAB literally within minutes. The site soon obfuscated scripts and if Bild was that I couldn't help. For such sites, A-AAB filters/extensions don't help, indeed while AdGuard had been fighting with Avgle longest time, eventually they gave up. Now Avgle uses a different technique (contents rotation) than AAB.

The fact my rule still works is an evidence that they're not monitoring Wilders as often as Avgle did for various places on the Internet.

 

I found it. When set to true, how will this affect the browsing behavior compared to false?

I set value to true and tried the chrome filter, but that did not help - same as before.

 

Every now & then I pick up a tracking cookie from mathtag dot com. It's not a problem because I run HitmanPro daily & that gets rid of it. However, I was wondering: can UBO be set so as to block cookies from mathtag dot com?

 

Why not block third party cookies in your browser/s?
