@Brummelchen. When I posted a few months ago about my issue, I posted for asking if someone knew how to disable this extra protection that Firefox has implemented since about Version 120. When I updated to 121.0.1, I was using 118.0.2.and the 2 sites that I visit everyday and now they dont work anymore, were working in 118.0.2 and for years before that.

There has to be a way to disable this blocking in about:config. There is nothing about it in Google search. Brummelchen, if you know, let me know. With regards to reporting this issue, this is not bug, this is Mozilla doing things on purpose. Anyway, I did use the tracking button to send Mozilla a message. I was just now trying to remember how I did that but I cant remember and don't see the option to do it anymore. Perhaps they changed the interaction that we can have with Mozilla via that button. I did 3 reports that included both sites (both sites use similar domains and both are for streaming sports).

For now, I ll keep using the websites in Edge. Mozilla is forcing me to use Edge for about 3 hours everyday. I don't use Edge for anything else.

    this one?
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...version-releases.361562/page-209#post-3182015

the major problem for me is that those are no legit pages, without uBo and uMatrix i get redirected and unwanted new tabs with really strange pages and behavior. so i assume a problem with the site, extensions, and not firefox. even edge wont let me have content, its just evil.
and vipbox the same. cuervotv is forbidden/nginx. i guess its down and locked, means: no iframe content with stream.

maybe a look into browser network analysis make it more clear for you. i would change service to a valid one. this behavior or sites is not new to me, in europe there exist similar stream pages with some really strange security issues if not blocked. they are specially created for this behavior, no ads means no stream, a lot of CORS which also means sniffing, phishing and more malbehavior.

in short, there is nothing you can do for those pages.

for flavofort(.)it, the form is shown here, if not blocked from umatrix -> forms-eu1(.)hsforms(.)com
normally no big deal, but it makes it more trustfully if the form would be hosted by themself.

No, the major problem is that Mozilla is blocking domains and not allowing users to disable this extra blocking they're doing under the hood.

But yes, this particular websites are terrible if you don't use something like NoScript. This webpages are like sharks but get turned into sardines by NoScript. I think this is a good analogy.

Sites are bad and its an OK idea to block them for most people but a bad idea not to give the option to disable the blocking.
Yes, there is. Use Edge. Like I said before, they still work just fine in Edge and with NoScript, they look and act as nice soft clean websites.

Sorry to interrupt, but Firefox is blocking to many websites. You so right "bo elam".
And what do you think about No-script with fire fox? I disable the extension (No-script), no effect.

I am not familiar with No-script, the extension you mention but searching Google, I see that is not maintained anymore, but I don't know, maybe still works. If you are really interested in filtering the content of the webpages you visit, the extension I recommend is NoScript, that is the real thing. I have been using it since 2008 and never took it down from the day I installed it. It took about 6 months to click on my head how to use it properly, but once it did, all made sense and it became easy. Using this extension allows me to visit any website I want and come out like I went in, no matter how good or bad the website is.

Besides the security you get by using the extension, using it also allows you the user to clean the internet of annoyances and distractions that abound all over the place. To me personally, this is as important as the high level of security that the extension gives you.

i think we use different versions of firefox and edge, are we? both current final, no esr.
and yes, firefox blocking behavior improved with v127, at least you need to click on the shield icon to lose restrictions, or set it to "Default" in settings, or turn it off completely in about : config (i dont know the switches, not my interest)

Edge I use latest version, Firefox I am always a couple of number behind. What you call "improvement" took place around version 120 not 127. When I updated to version 121 that's when I started having issues with Firefox in the previously mentioned websites. The only solution for me is to find out what the switch is in above:config to turn this thing off. It is likely this problem is going to affect everyone. Lets end this here, I tried everything there is to try.that's available in Settings, and nothing good came out. It is obvious the above:config switch is needed.

Just wanted to add some info to this discussion.

Firefox's "Enhanced tracking protection" is provided by Disconnect
MS Edge's "Tracking prevention" is also provided by Disconnect

Even though they both get tracking data from the same source, the protection level is implemented differently.

MS Edge has three protections levels: Basic, Balanced and Strict. They recommend Balanced by default.
Firefox's has two protection levels: Standard and Strict, with a third custom level so users can customize their own protection. They recommend Standard by default.

On the Strict protection level Firefox also blocks third-party content that appears on a webpage, that might contain trackers. They list forms, login fields, comments etc. This is what causes most issues with websites. It can be easily fixed by either allowing third-party content on that particular site or by switching to Standard protection mode temporarily.

For example, the link provided by @Sampei Nihira, https://flavofort.it/ordina-il-tuo-campione-gratuito/
The form is actually embedded in the website from a third party, https://js-eu1.hsforms.net, see pic below, this is why it is blocked by Firefox under strict protection. When you switch to Standard protection, the forms displays correctly. By the way, if you cannot see the form in standard protection, then it is some issue with your profile. Test it either by creating a fresh new profile using "about:profiles" or by downloading a portable version of Firefox that will have a fresh profile.

    .

When a website is developed, the developers test the website with various browsers to ensure their website works correctly, if they notice an issue, they usually take steps to correct the issue. Unfortunately, Firefox's market share is so low as compared to chrome, that most website developers either don't test their websites with it, or leave it as something to be done if they have time, or if someone complains. This will remain an issue with Firefox unless its market share goes up.

I thank you for your inquiry.:thumb:
I have no need to move the protection level.
I prefer to turn off the tracking protection for any websites like this that malfunction.

which is a very basic version of disconnect, not comparable with the extension
and with user settings (third option). anyhow my test profile do not show the form, my work profile shows the form, both with same setting for tracking. strange.

Another annoyance I have using Firefox is this pop-up:

    1.jpg

"Use your Google account to access the Reddit app."

It is possible to put a blocking rule in uBlock Origin but it is another annoyance because the pop-up shows up on various websites.
So more rules need to be entered.

I ask members who have been using Firefox longer than me if it is possible to disable this "sort of app detection with Google access" in various websites once and for all.

This is the filter rule that I use:
    Code:
    ||accounts.google.com/gsi/iframe/select$subdocument
In my experience, it works for all websites.

Thanks, seems to work in AdGuard. This has been annoying for a long time.

I never tried AdGuard. Does it have an option to easily create custom filter rules? I looked in AdGuard's online documentation, but I couldn't find something similar to uBlock Origin's element picker.
I used uBlock Origin's element picker to create the rule to block the mentioned Google Account pop-ups. In uBlock Origin's element picker mode, one can use the preview option to test the different filter rules that are offered and select the one that does what you want. That is how I selected the rule to block the Google Account pop-ups.
I would say it's off-topic in the Firefox thread, but I'm glad the filter rule helped you and helped Sampei Nihira.

Agreed, not wanting to go too far off topic but I do use Firefox with AdGuard so close enough for the question... there is a Filter Editor in the Ad Blocker section of the Settings and that is where I pasted it. If you install the Browser Assistant you can use its context menu to block ads on a site and use an element picker. I was a uBlock Origin user for a long time but I don't feel I'm losing any features (at least that I actually use) with AdGuard. It works with all browsers but I probably use Firefox 99% of the time.

I found this: The reason I couldn't see the "Report broken site" form is because I untick "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" in Firefox settings. Once the setting is ticked, the form to report a broken site becomes available/visible.

    Thanks, xxJackxx.
I still don't find the option to block custom elements in AdGuard's knowledge base pages, but I see it mentioned here:
    https://adguard.com/en/adguard-assistant/overview.html#firefox
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adguard-browser-assistant/
Good to know the AdGuard Browser Assistant has its element picker.

As I don't use the Chrome web store, I never had the need to block that specific pop-up.
You can create a filter rule for that one, I suppose.
