I've tested FF on three Windows 10 machines with the same result. Nothing private about Firefox's Private Browsing Mode.
If any help, wilders only seems to use one cookie, session cookie called xf_session. And that cookie should only last, by the definition of session cookie, only untill you logout and be automatically then cleared. Even without using any "clear cookie" buttons or such things. Session cookies simply should not exist after logout. They only exist in memory and never written to disk. Ever. EDIT. Hmmm...This is interesting... wilders *does* use for some strange reason xf_session=deleted *persistent* cookie (expiration time set) after logout .... but the value 'deleted' of course will certainly not identify anyone ....
Hi I just use FF v53 portable 64-bit and I cannot see the purple mask on the top right hand when I went into Private Browsing. Anyone has this issue? Thanks
After enabling Private Browsing Mode in the Settings and a restart, the mask is not shown. It is only shown after disabling of the setting and after opening a new private window:
Hi My FF desktop icon just turned into a white square but it's still working. However, if I pin it to the taskbar the FF icon shows up. I remmebered this also happens in one of the earlier versions and I stopped using FF then. Any help?
Maybe you can find a solution in this thread: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/win10-corrupt-icons.392721/#post-2659956
Hi Can anyone tell me how to check if multiprocess e10s is enabled in about:support of FF 53? There are many parameters there in about:support so which are the ones that must be checked i.e. enabled/disabled Thanks
From https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis check about:support and look for a number higher than 0 in the "Multiprocess Windows" entry. If you would like to opt-in to help us test open about:config and toggle browser.tabs.remote.autostart to true. On your next restart, e10s should be active
Try this, its also from WindowsClub but its a dedicated tool forWin10 corrupt icons; http://www.thewindowsclub.com/icon-cache-rebuilder-for-windows-10 Or there's this tool for Win 7/8/8.1 http://www.thewindowsclub.com/rebuild-corrupt-icon-cache-with-icon-cache-rebuilder
Thanks. I just uninstalled and reinstalled FF 53 to solve the problem. I'll keep the link for next time.
Ok, I have 0/1 (Disabled by add-ons) in Multiprocess Windows. When I disabled ALL my add-ons I got 0/1 (Disabled by accessibility tools) instead The toggle browser.tabs.remote.autostart already set to true Thanks
BTW, anyone using the Priv8 add-on to sandbox the tabs? Do you need Private Browsing if you have this add-on? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/priv8/ Thanks
