Version 3.3.630 - (November 22, 2023) You can now export traffic usage from GlassWire to a csv file for the Usage Table. Windows Firewall rules will no longer be created for applications that are removed from GlassWire. Tooltips now show with mouse over for elided text. Other UI improvements. Bug fixes.
Version 3.3.664 - (February 5, 2024) • UI changes to GlassWire Protect and Log Analysis pages. • Bug fix of weekly view on Traffic Monitor. • Bug fix of Premium Upgrade.
I searched the whole of Wilders on domotz and "No results found." So... Who knew?! https://www.domotz.com/press/domotz-announces-acquisition-of-glasswire-and-launches-glasswire-for-business.php BTW, Jon Hundley, who started GlassWire is who bought SpyShelter; probably common knowledge in some circles, I thought it was worth a mention.
Yes, I saw this a week ago when I noticed they launched GlassWire for Business. But from what I understood, Jon Hundley is not involved with GlassWire any longer, so I guess this is a good thing for SpyShelter.
Version 3.3.678 - (May 21, 2024) https://www.glasswire.com/download/ Hash SHA-256: 87ACA145B5F2F09DC121EA5B16ADB49266D4934CF56FD0746872B24C5DEA9FC1 Implemented GeoIP database expiration timestamp as a UTC string to improve UI. Fixed bug causing removal of GeoIP database after download. Fixed bug to automatically restore deleted GeoIP database.
Thanks! I was concerned GW would take a backseat in the Domotz "MSPs, System Integrators, IT and Security Professionals" model. That they would release an update just to address GeoIP issues for us is a good sign. Which is not that I'm dismissing the importance of that feature. I continue to value Ask To Connect, the on-demand firewall profiles and the convenience of individual or groups of or all-at-once one-click firewall for apps' toggling. The security settings and notifications are critical components in the front line of my security layering. Traffic monitoring and data gathering/reporting has everything a single or family user could need. That I used almost 50GB of bandwidth in Firefox so far this month means I might spending too much time at the PC. :) Cheers.
I have never seen this until recently. I wonder why this is happening on a HP laptop with Windows 10 Home. Very strange!
I have had this on several occasions, usually with a GwCtl dump on my desktop. The first time I tracked it down to HitmanProAlert and solved it by excluding all Glasswire exes. But I have seen it again sporadically recently, and have not been able to trace the culprit. PS. Lenovo ThinkBook Win10 Pro, not observed on my Dell XPS Win 10 Home.
Try this. Disable run on startup in GW settings. Reboot and start Glasswire. I understand this is the best way to stop and start the Glasswire Control Service (GWCtlSrv.exe). Then you can re-enable run on startup. Good luck.
Glasswire forums being spammed to death: https://forum.glasswire.com/ going on for over a day now. I have contacted them in a few places and even via email and nothing.
I can't log into my Management Console. My network monitor reports OK connection to ...glasswire.com, hosted by Amazon in my region. All I get is spinning pinwheel. Until this is sorted up, hopefully, I'm blocking Glasswire Control Service (GWCtlSrv.exe). Fingers crossed.
I hope not. Even so, the firewall rules, first network connection alerts, ask to connect, traffic monitor, LAN scanner and the 14 security modules should continue "forever" in their currently installed systems. As for installing an abandoned setup exe (having a trial time-out) on a new system, ? That could spell and end to it. I've not run GW with Glasswire Control Service blocked for any length of time. As far as I know, the service checks for user apps ratings, Anomaly Detection, updates and license authenticity. Not sure if the latter is an issue with lifetime holders, otherwise GW has little dependency on WAN connectivity for it's average user core functionality. Enterprise users is a different story where Domotz would surely have an alternative to sell. I'm gonna keep it blocked and wait and see. I did log into Management Console; perhaps yesterday's failure was an anomaly. Forum is still out of control. SpyShelter is not a firewall. I run Pro with GW. Those with AppCheck and Defender meet my needs. Along with a seriously locked-down browser. Cheers.
Mine are old Legacy Elite 10 device each keycodes and the Online console doesn't support them so I don't have an online console. So I'm in a wait and see until... https://forum.glasswire.com/t/glasswire-license-issue/16537/10?u=triplehelix
I just checked the Glasswire Forum. It looks like the Glasswire Moderators cleaned up all the spam posts. Wonder if all the Moderators there were on vacation at the same time.
This is what my console looks like. I forget when that feature showed up. It's peppered with minor mix-ups, but the license is consistent and all endpoints run as Elite. The ASRock, my EDC (every day computer) is an i9-9900K box I built in FEB 2020 which runs "Free." I've been running GW for 20 years, EDIT: Oops. 10 years. first starting out on the DESKTOP-AV8S7U1, an which is now my Win10 test (aka blow-up) system. I've had to do system restores on it so that's probably why it's showing up three times. I updated my initial license and as GW rolled out those bargain updates, I bought in up to the Lifetime. I am loathe to use any of the edit tools to make corrections. Leave well-enough alone... I've unblocked the GW Control Service as I think any issues are on the forum side admin which still may be in Texas, or managed by a team there. Hopefully, I don't think John Hundley would've turned over GW to Domotz without some assurance his user base would be, within reason, supported. I'd hate to loose GW.
That's the issues I would have and they told me that Legacy Keycodes from cleverbridge will not work on there Online Console so they deleted it so as long they say Elite in the UI they said I'm fine. Also I was part of the Original Beta Testing Group back in 2015.
Yeah. I corrected my 20-years typo up there in #593. The one and two keys are too closely spaced... Just for grins, I opened my email archive and summed up the payments I made back then from initial purchase (from free) to Elite: $101.00. (No typos there.) Cheers.
