I like this gui as well : clean and simple , settings are quite easy to find and easy accessable I am currently on a trial version of i.s and I like it sofar , you do not even notice its pressence , only when opening webbrowsers : they do lag for a couple of seconds. what I do notice is that there are no more popups when eset has updated it's signature defenitions , which is what I rember from using older versions of the program in the past?
This is interesting; you should not notice any delay when launching browsers. If possible, please post in our official forum https://forum.eset.com and we'll look into it. Let us know what browser the issue manifests with and if temporarily pausing real-time protection makes a difference. You can also try disabling automatic import of the root certificate to known browsers in the SSL protection setup in advanced settings. As for the pop-up notifications after module updates, by default they do not appear, however, there is a setting for it which users can turn on if they want to get the notification.
thanks for your answer , another thing worth mentioning : I installed the trial version yesterday and the live installer quit on me three times : once on 6 percentage completion , and two times on 66%....the installer suggested to try the offline installer instead , but it was quite hard to find on the official site ( dutch ) so might I suggest to make offline installers easier accessable in the download section? when this trial runs out , I will be buying a licensce I have not registred on the forum , but I will do so soon thanks again for your answer and help , very much apreciated!!
Hi, For the offline installer, the link have been posted here several times. Just a few steps and screenshots: 1. Go to https://www.eset.com/int/home/internet-security/download/ Go there to Advanced download 2. Choose 64-bit or 32-bit (depending on whether you use Windows 64-bit or 32-bit) 3. Download it Note: In the past you first had to choose the language. That has been changed. You can now choose the language during the installation
When I install eset internet security 13 i can not registrate it and get the error code act.33 , what does this mean?
It may be that the license is intended for use in a different country. https://forum.eset.com/topic/9682-p...t-9-act34-error/?do=findComment&comment=50285
I got 13.0.24.0 via the internal updater. Some remarks: 1. The News site is now giving a 404. https://support.eset.com/news What gives... For quite some time there wasn't there anyways nomore info about new Windows Home versions at all ... Who knows, maybe we are not supposed to know, or maybe they use now social media .... 2. Version 13.0.24.0 is not (yet?) available at the advanced download option at https://www.eset.com/int/home/internet-security/download/ And the changelog has been removed there now too. Who knows, maybe we are not supposed to know, or maybe they use now social media .... 3. At the moment no official mention about 13.0.24.0 at the Eset forum https://forum.eset.com/ Who knows if and when that will come ...
Most recent AV comparatives, competition, tests better than ESET! Perhaps better nxt testing period? edit: spelling
ESET Windows home products version 13.0.24 have been released Announcements at the Eset forum by Marcos: https://forum.eset.com/topic/21855-eset-windows-home-products-version-13024-have-been-released/ https://forum.eset.com/topic/21858-eset-windows-home-products-version-13024-have-been-released/ There is also a Changelog at: https://www.eset.com/int/home/internet-security/download/ Go there to advanced download option.
Real-time protection of ESET IS v13.0.24.0 (not a manual scan !!!) with the latest database gives false alerts, If I start Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool under Windows 10 64bit Pro v1909 build18363.535. Only when I start Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, Not when downloading it! https://www.kaspersky.hu/free-products
Are you sure that isn't fake? The UI looks rather sloppy for something Kaspersky makes. It doesn't match (closely enough) any of the screenshots I googled.
@xxJackxx Fake? The KVRT? No, It is not. Download and see. On the other hand You can try it. Simple. I described exactly under what circumstances.
It's an Augur machine learning detection of a temp file KVRT is creating. See below screen shot. Submit KVRT.exe to Eset via in-product suspicious file detection. Note in your write-up that you believe its a false positive.
This has happened many times. I have repeatedly reported the case to ESET. They didn't respond. That's why I wrote here and on the ESET forum. https://forum.eset.com/topic/21891-real-time-protection-of-eset-is-v130240-false-alarm/
See above. And here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/21891-real-time-protection-of-eset-is-v130240-false-alarm/ I have reported this incident many times to ESET Support.
OK. I saw it but sorry didn't pay any attention to it. Next time, post stuff like this in the Malware section for better exposure. Suspect this will take Eset a while to fix since it's an Augur FP.
It's been more than 1 month since my first report. I also talked to them on the phone. I know from Kaspersky's support that they said that ESET could not reproduce the alarm. They did a manual scant. It didn't alert me either.
I've had the same problem when I was using v.13. I was hoping it wouldn't take them so long to solve FP.
