Anyone else having click and drag issues since KB5048667 on Windows 11 24H2? It seems to be messed up for me and 2 other users.

I haven't noticed any. What is it you're seeing?

I've had 24H2 for a week or two now, and have not had any unexpected problems...yet.

HOWEVER, if you have installed Explorer Patcher, uninstall it first: 24H2 will install, but it will hairball during the process and force you to remove EP. Not doing so lengthened the process AND made things a bit more "interesting" afterward.

These are work machines so nothing 3rd party like Explorer Patcher or otherwise. Clicking the mouse and dragging gives unexpected results. Trying to select text it will select the wrong text or it will start to select some that then select the wrong text or nothing at all. Clicking and dragging a file to copy or move it doesn't work or drops it part way in the wrong place. Uninstalling KB5048667 restores expected functionality. A quick online search finds multiple others reporting unusual issues with this update. It just seems bad in general.

Nope, I haven't seen any of that.

The 'HOWEVER' was intended more for those who have yet to install 24H2, so that they can avoid what I went through. I kinda figured that you were talking about work machines, and I would definitely not expect to see EP there.

Todays updates for Windows 11 went in without any problems.

The Windows 10 updates went in but with one 'failed to install' error.

    KB5050411 error 0X80070643

    It installed on a retry.

I had a similar thing with KB5049981 on one of my Win10 machines. Retry and it installed. No problem on my other Win10 machine.

Same here. And I have had 24H2 available for download & install for some weeks now, but I am not going to do that until I hear some sort of compelling info about 24H2.

I wonder if the KB5050411 update was anything to do with that resizing of the recovery partition issue on Win 10. Haven't seen it for a few months, perhaps it forgot it wasn't supposed to try and install anymore.

Don't think this should have been offered to me. I think that is why it 'installed' second try

It got stuck at 94%, I had to remove the laptop from the dock and restart it for the Win 10 update to complete. The last time this happened was a few months ago. Oddly enough, it has now reappeared. Fortunately, I know what to do in this case. Something in the connected peripherals must have caused the update installation to freeze.
