Alexandru, is it still not possible to have the manual (PDF) included in the update function (believe you said because bandwith or so)?
The other reasons, besides the ones mentioned by @aldist are: - a PDF file does not have a version like an exe file, so it is hard to say if the PDF file from server is newer than the local one without opening it and parsing it. - if you press F1 or click the user manual button, in the web browser I can open the specific topic by navigating to a specific page. For a local PDF file this is not possible. Anyway, the user manual for this product does not change that often and if you download a copy of it and put it next to the executable file, the local PDF will be opened instead of a page in the web browser.
No problem, thanks both. Well ... About the search enginges: this could be avoided through related entry/entries in robots.txt ("Disallow: ...") or not? Also, the file itself IS downloadable, same "problem", regardless if you download it manually or with program update function. So you have already traffic (maybe not the same amount but nevertheless ...)

@alexandrud Thanks for new version! Maybe you should make clear that the auto update check is only for program updates and not for translation or manual files. For example instead "Automatically check for updates" you could write "Automatically check for program updates" ... Happy New Year to all!
@aldist Thank you, yes, I knew that I can edit translation files, but I had not checked it for THIS case. However: because Alexandru edit those translation files too (I assume), it could be sensefully that he knows it too. Have a good time.
