    My suggestion is:
    Use Kaspersky Virus removal Tool as ist is. A already portable tool, that needs no starter.
    The Portable Apps platform potentially reduces efficiency.
    At least you don't have to care about updates, as KVRT mange it by itself.
    Positive side effect: No frequent reminder about latest updates.

    If EAM has a dedicated uninstaller, I'd run that before installing K.
