AdGuard DNS 2.0 — Official Release AdGuard DNS 2.0: A new level of online protection August 18, 2022 https://adguard.com/en/blog/adguard-dns-2-0.html
AdGuard DNS does not allow you to use AdGuard Tracking filter, literally the only filter I have always used?! OK.
AdGuard DNS v2.0 goes open source August 26, 2022 https://adguard.com/en/blog/adguard-dns-2-0-goes-open-source.html
EU is building its own DNS service. What’s in it for the everyday user? February 2, 2023 https://adguard.com/en/blog/dns-eu-project-secutity.html
I use Adguard DNS for iOS/iPadOS. There's only one filter (Adguard DNS), though. Can you share recommendations & links to other filters?
AG DNS filter is composed of several filterlists as you can see on (edited) https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardSDNSFilter/blob/master/configuration.json On DNS-level the filterrules can only block full domains and not parts of a URL. If you use in your browser (or on your desktop) the underlying original filterlists (such as AG Base filter), is using AG DNS filter pointless. In that case you could use on DNS-level, Peter Lowe's filter.
Thx for the info! Does this mean that I have to enable the default AG DNS filter instead of the DNS filter in DNS Protection? Do you have a link? I searched for it on https://filterlists.com but to no avail.

Thx but this filter is included in AG app, so no need to add this unless I'm mistaken. Thx but which one should I use at the DNS-level?
I presume that you use the AG DNS interface (and if you don't, it could be wise to do so). In that interface you can choose some blocklists, including Peter Lowe's. If you use on browser- or desktop level filters that are covered bij AG DNS filter, I should disable the latter. This site makes it easier to see which filters are covered: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardSDNSFilter/blob/master/configuration.json
This UI isn't present in the iOS version of AG Pro which includes the DNS module about which I'm talking here. https://apps.apple.com/app/adguard-pro-adblock/id1126386264
On DNS level I should use this version of Peter Lowe's blocklist: https://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/serverlist.php?hostformat=nohtml&showintro=1&mimetype=plaintext
No, you didn't mislead me. I didn't know that there's no IOS version of AG DNS. BTW, is there a log to view blocked DNS queries? Otherwise it's hard to judge the effectiveness of a blocklist.
