I just got infected with this virus about 30 minutes ago. After scanning, I am suppose to back up everything before deleting the file. Is that critical to do? What would be the implications if I don't? Thank you.

    Hello Babyjane,

You do not always need to back up everything before deleting infected files as long as you are positive they are infected or unnecessary. We do suggest that everyone does back up their files, it is possible to delete something that is a false positive and something that is needed.

    Thank you,

    Richard
