I disagree with this one: A criminal could force you to unlock the phone and you can also be forced into a warrantless search of your phone. Whether or not you think you have done anything wrong, there are better uses of your time.
Criminal can also force you to unlock or tell it aloud. Or just snoop on your password/PIN organolepticly or using camera. If criminal wants to preserve access to a phone secured by biometrics that automatically locks every few minutes, they probably need to cut off your fingers which is fortunately rare. As far as law enforcement go it is valid point. To some degree can be mitigated by temporary disable of biometrics by Android lockdown mode.
Yup, they'll say " Give me your pin" or "we'll cut off your finger" depending on how its locked. I restart my phone about once a week, hardly ever shut it off.
I've used mobiles for over 30 years, starting with the original brick. I was also in a position where I had to be contactable 24 hours a day. I didn't turn my phone of then, and never have since. I've also never seen a legitimate reason to do so.
My oldish Samsung S20 has a setting to automatically restart itself once a week. Device Care > Auto optimisation.
