Wow... how did it take me so long to find this little gem of a freeware that does so much. Now got rid of all my spyware that AdAware missed and also ran the system check to find a handful of registry problems that JV16 didn't find. At first wasn't too sure how to fix them until I did the search thing on the wrong app paths and now everything comes up fixed... pretty good that function... deleted everything else with nothing to point to and all seems well.

Excellent piece of software... can highly recommend it. :) :) :)

Glad you found it, we love it ;-)

However, do run Ad-Aware sometimes as well. Although after installing IESpyad at Spy1's suggestion I have found no spyware whatsoever with either scanner (thanks again Spyman!), I had began to use Ad-Aware less because I felt Spybot was finding more. However, I decided to run Ad-Aware again (after S&D) and began to find one or two things that Spybot had passed up. So as others on the board have said (I just didn't listen well enough at first!) The two still compliment each other quite well.

    Hi Detox,

Yep... will take your advice and continue to run Ad-Aware alongside Spybot... as you say, they compliment each other well. I guess I've just been taking my time at getting to grips with all the security issues so as not to get confused with everything which I think it could be all too easy to do if one was to jump in with loads of different new programs running together. I like to learn how to do something and then that gives me the confidence to try another piece of software but I truly wish I'd given Spybot a go before now... but still... better late than never.
