Spelling Errors

  1. I was wondering out of idle curiousity why it is that the mods don't ever correct obvious mistyping in the Thread Titles? It must be a bit embarrassing to start a thread and then realize you've typed 'Appdefende' rather than 'Appdefend' but there it is for the rest of forever. I do understand that a lot of people who use these forums have English as a second language and my query isn't about that but just your common or garden mistyping.

    P.S. I'm working on getting a life

I've been on the net something like 8 years now, and generally I've never worried too much about spelling. If I happen to notice a typo in what I've posted, the heck with it as long as I think my meaning was understandable.

In English, at least, it's rare that a typo is significant. One exception does jump to mind -- "is not OK" and "is now OK" are almost totally opposite in meaning.

The mods mostly let the spelling mistakes go on forever because it helps the Google ranking. All hail mighty google. If someone mis-spelt it wrong when they create a thread, there is a chance they might in google, interesting eh? ;)

There was some reason actually why I didn't change that AppDefende spelling mistake which I can't recall, but I did correct another one today. :ninja: o_O
