SCANS FREEZING

Hello.
eset security suite keeps freezing when i do standard or custom scans.
It stops at 22% on standard and 14 % on custom.
I have to stop eset running by way of task manager,as
clicking on stop does not work.

this has been updated since my original post.
The scans now seem to work ok,after i tried each one about 6 times without success.
maybe gremlins .

 

Have you tried running a scan after the latest update 3308? Even if it may seem to be stalling, it may be scanning a folder with many files inside. Enabling logging of all scanned files would confirm or deny my assumption.

Thank you for your help.
It appears to be ok now.
I did a scan after the latest update and all seems well.
When it froze it did so on the same file,and i waited for a while, but nothing.
i believe it was an exe file.
Also when i clicked on the stop button,nothing would happen either.
Now the stop button stops it.
