    Hi,
In Configuration\Startup\Initialisation there are check boxes for, "Load Radius Systems" and "Load Radius Extensions"
Can someone tell me if these should be checked?
Or will that just slow up TDS starting? I note that with these checked, TDS takes an extra two minutes to load.(making a total load time of 3-4 min)
Like, if I always manually update the radius file before actually using TDS for a scan, is it necessary to have these checked?
Also, what is the difference between "Radius Systems" and "Radius Extensions" - what exactly are they? Thanks.

    Hi,

    From the TDS-3 Helpfile:

    Configuration: Startup Tab

    -snip-

    Load Radius Systems
The radius system is the core engine behind TDS-3s' scanning technology. If this is disabled, then the engine will not load when TDS-3 is first started, and will only start whenever the user first needs to perform a scanning function - such as using Scan Control, or using other components from the 'System Testing' menu.

    Load Radius Extensions
The radius extensions are set to not load during TDS-3 initialisation. If you select to use 'Radius Extensions' in the scan control menu, it will be ignored as the Radius Extensions must first be loaded into memory. The reason why this is left to the decision of the user, was for those that do not wish for the extensions to take effect during system scanning. This means that TDS-3 will use less memory and also scan a lot quicker.

    BTW:
    I myself have checkmarked both.
