What is the Internet Download Manager (IDM) extension ID?

Please note I'm talking about the genuine one.
According to ToneC, they do not upload any extension to any website including Chrome Web Store.

Even Chrome Web Store, ToneC advised. So this is fake as well even though it looks like genuine, they said:
    chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/idm-integration-module/ngpampappnmepgilojfohadhhmbhlaek

    idm ext.png

    Edit.
Did a little experiment. I uninstalled current IDM extension ngpampappnmepgilojfohadhhmbhlaek, next I dragged the IDMGCExt.crx into the browser and reinstalled once again extension ngpampappnmepgilojfohadhhmbhlaek.
Uninstalled once again and grabbed the one in the store and strangely it has the same ID ngpampappnmepgilojfohadhhmbhlaek.

Why Google and ToneC allow such things to happen? :cautious:

On the website is mentioned, all extensions in the WebStore are fake:
According to the FAQ, the .crx-file (extension) is in the directory of IDM and has to be "drag&dropped" to Chrome.

If they have the same ID then they are both identical extensions. :cautious:
The extension in the Webstore and the extension located in Program Files

But again @mood , Tonec support and their website say any extension found in any website including Chrome Web Store are definitely fake.

Actually I'm awaiting for their reply on this matter: Why that extension in the Webstore has the same ID.

    Yes correct.

I know but ToneC said all extensions in the Webstore are fake. All of them. ToneC not mentions any exception.

Thanks for taking the time to test.

    Can't understand this.

If the hash comparison is the same then it means the data within them are exactly the same, which means it's the genuine version, regardless of what ToneC has said... Unless there appears to be a hash collision situation, but I don't think you know how rare such a scenario would be.

Let's wait for the response you get from ToneC. :)

"ddlapbbeiljnagpkdmfegipfkeebgmnm" is the code for the extension for opera to download crx-files.
you can put this string into opera store search and you will find it (instead the name)

    https://addons.opera.com/de/search/?query=ddlapbbeiljnagpkdmfegipfkeebgmnm
    https://addons.opera.com/de/extensions/details/extension-source-viewer/

oops - opera not chrome. but works same for chrome store - enter the string and you will find it (or not ^^)

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/ddlapbbeiljnagpkdmfegipfkeebgmnm
    (no results found)
