I have downloaded 3.2 this morning and left it in learning mode and executed all my programs. Well I didn't get everything and I got the popup asking for verification. After putting in the letters it asked for the little boxes at the bottom were all black [one time] and [just one box] one time. Is this being fixed?

Thank you for the link, but that doesn't tell me anything. Is it normal,is it a bug, is it unusual.

This is a new feature, not bug, of ver. 3.2 . edit per Baldrick post below.

ProcessGuard | Protection tab | (select applicable program) | Other options (very lower right of window) | [v] Secure Message Handling

If 'Secure Message Handling' box checked for a program, you will get the popup which is asking for permission for the program to be shutdown. Permission is granted by entering the letters.

Therefore: 'Human Verification' 'Human Confirmation Required'.

The 'Secure Message Handling' box can be checked as additional protection to a program being terminated, shutdown.

If this is not wanted or needed for a particular program, uncheck the box.

I have not read how the term 'Secure Message Handling' was arrived at.

Given the name of the window that pops up and the function apparent to me at this time, it seems
'Human Confirmation to Terminate' or 'Human Confirmation to Shutdown' might make it all a bit more clear?

    Hi billaku

I believe that you are incorrect re. your assertion that this is new functionality in PG3.2. This feature was in the previous version and the thing that WilliamP was asking (and that I reported in another post) was whether "...the little boxes at the bottom were all black [one time] and [just one box] one time." is a bug or not.

IMHO it is as there used to be text in those boxes in the previous version (perhaps not everyone is suffering from this?), and we are hoping that there will be a fix for this sometime soon although it does not prevent one from using the facility.

    Happy New Year

So far it seems to work properly. It is just different than it was. I'd just like to find out if it is operating like it is supposed to.

    Hello Baldrick,

Happy New Year back to you!

Much thanks for the corrections to my post - sorry I bungled it so badly.

    1. Just recently started using ver. 3.15 and never saw the Human Verification in that version.

    2. I entirely misread WilliamP's first post of thread.

Probably given I had no experience with HV, HCR in 3.15, bit hard for me to understand, visualize the difference the two vers.

But question of this thread stands until get feedback from DiamondCS as to whether bug or not.

For sure they know the difference between the two and how it should be.

Would be good to hear from them. Maybe then I would understand?

Baldrick, again thanks for filling me in!

    Hi billaku

    Thanks for your good wishes.

No problem re. your original response. That is what this forum is for. It is how we all learn a little.......and it works well. I have learnt a lot from here in the past.

With regard to a response from DCS; I have a couple of unanswered queries/issues but I believe that the guys at DCS are (i) taking well earned rest after the work to issue PG3.2 and (ii) are currently at work on a new website and product. So I think that we should have patience and see what they eventually come back with. They have never failed us in the past.

    Keep posting.

    Best regards

    Baldrick
