    Hi folks,

Having Vista Business and ESS 672, was ever having the date including time showing in the systray until yesterday. Today morning starting ntb and noticed only time is showing there, the date disappeared. I tried to stretch the systray up but no avail, only the time and day are there, the date has gone. Since no upgrades or installation except today's routine ESS's signature update I wonder if it can be the ESS causing it. If not, can any1 help me to get back the date into systray?

    Thx mates,
    regards

Hopefully, "Lock the Taskbar" is checked and that is preventing you from re-sizing the area. Rt Clk in Sys Tray and see if that's it. Un-chk if so.

    Try the following:

    1. Right-clicking on the Task Bar
    2. Choosing Properties, then Notification Area
    3. Check to "Clock"

thx but I had it already checked, if it is unchecked the time and day are not visible at all. So I played with the date format and I have got it finally. The clue was to change the primary format from d.M.rrrr to dd.MM.rrrr The date looks the same (e.g. 12.10.2008 ) regardless on the format (d.M.rrrr or dd.MM.rrrr) but if it was d.M.rrrr the date was not shown in the systray. It is still strange to me because I never changed the format in Vista. I had always date shown in the systray but suddenly it disappeared. So something had to happen ?!?. Anyhow glad I have solved it.
