Is it just me or do build 2337 and build 2323 show up as build 2302 of TI9? I can't tell which version is really installed.

    Anyone else notice this o_O

Well known problem. You must do a complete uninstall of the previous version before you do the update. The update is the complete program. Also make a new standalone CD bootable CD.

Does this affect any functionality in the product other than the wrong build number? I found I could see the correct build number from the control panel, install/remove software, support option.

    Thanks

There have been posts mentioning incorrect operation of the program when previous not uninstalled. It is easy to do and it isn't worth taking a chance on the integrity of your data.

Note that the update without uninstall does seem to work correctly for build 2337 over top of a properly installed build 2302.

Not for me,I installed 2302 from disc and noticed newer version when registering. I downloaded this and it seemed to install but was still 2302. I had to uninstall this and then install 2337.

    Hi seekforever,

Me thinks you are confused ;). Build 2337 will install correctly over build 2323 but all other builds will need to be uninstalled first via Windows Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs applet.

    Regards

Yes, once again you have saved me from the warp. I was trying to remember if 2302 was the previous build to 2337 that did work with "Update" and came to the erroneous conclusion it was.

Whats this? Did I read this post right? I just downloaded and installed the latest build patch for Acronis True Images for Windows Servers. Went from old 9xx something build to 8.0.1018. I just installed it right over the orriginal install, and it required reboot, but waiting till Friday for plant downtime for the svr restart. Do I now have to restart, un-install the whole damn thing and re-install the "new build" from scratch? this would suck big time. Someone please tell me I dont have to do this!

The issue is with TI 9.0 B2337 not V8.0.
