Yes, there's been 6 pre-releases since July 2023, and as the thread's starter, I decided to post the latest pre-release to make the thread current, because of continuous development.

    Ah, thanks, I understand.
It was the use of the term "Released" for v1.19.3 that caught my attention, as the Releases page distinguishes between pre-release versions, and 'Latest' for the latest release version.

I notice there is a major issue with the balenaEtcher 1.19.x releases.
    1.18.11 was OK.
It seems the problem started with 1.18.13.

    This is the error shown:
    Error
    Error opening source
    Something went wrong while opening
    [source]
    Error: (0, h.requestMetadata) is not a function

    Two of the reports:
    https://github.com/balena-io/etcher/issues/4258
    https://github.com/balena-io/etcher/issues/4150

But there are many more reports:

    balenaEtcher v1.19.25 released October 10, 2024 | Change Log

    N.B.
I notice that the major issue with the previous balenaEtcher 1.19.x releases is still not resolved in balenaEtcher-1.19.25-x64.AppImage (tested on Kubuntu 22.04.5).

    As reported earlier:

balenaEtcher version 1.18.11 was and is still OK.
The problem started with version 1.18.13.
