All PCs will be AI PCs “pretty soon,” says Intel exec

    Ok, but are there examples of those "AI apps" running locally on a laptop?

    I searched this page for "NPU" and found zero results. I've found some mentions about GPUs. It might be that currently no laptop programs use NPU. I wouldn't pay extra for NPU hardware until there will be software that can accelerate its processing using it.
    I suspect that smartphones and tablets will be first to the party among consumer electronics when it comes to actually putting NPUs to good use... which means Intel won't capitalize on it as much as Qualcomm, Apple and Samsung. Not at the beginning at least. Tablet market seems particularly of interest since considerable number of people use it for work etc
