Not on my/your Nelly, is what I say. I will always choose to sign out, as that is what I prefer. Also. I would never use a public computer to check my account.

Its about time! Google has been doing this for ages! When I sign into my Google account on any browser in my PC, I stay signed in forever, until I sign out myself. However with Microsoft, even if I say "yes" to the window prompt that asks me to stay signed in or not, if I come back after a few days, I am always signed out of my account! I never understood why it was like that. If Google can keep me safe while staying signed in forever, why does Microsoft need to sign me out of my account every few days?

In a statement to The Verge, Microsoft said that the support document was published "by mistake."
