People are too lazy to have privacy. In my circle of real name friends virtually nobody seems to care at all. They don't know how much their lives are an open book. Because I communicate with them in open non-secure methods I too am now an open book to the "collectors" of data. In truth I do hide very much but the basic stuff is in the open because you can't communicate safely with regular thinking folks. Just try and present encrypted email accounts, GPG, etc.... to them and they just think you are "tin foil" and dismiss you. Non-real name puesdo's in private sites are a different story. This means a person has to live two separate types of lives at least online. That is how I roll anyway!
