Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Updates

New version is out not sure if it's a Beta or Release there is no info at this time.

 

Potentially a beta as I'm not getting it here.

Yeah, its a beta. I just did a "Check for updates" and was told my version 5.2.4.157 is current.

 

Per co-pilot:
Version 5.2.5.158 is a more recent beta version of Malwarebytes Antimalware, released in December 2024. This version includes advanced script and fileless malware detection logics, which enhance the software's ability to detect and remove sophisticated threats

I see they've added another "notification" setting that needs to be disabled.

 

Malwarebytes 5 release for native ARM64 has been officially announced.

Updated to 5.2.7.167 on Windows 11 and after restarting MBAM received an error message. Exploit protection was turned off and I could not re-enable. Rebooted the computer and everything was back to normal.

• Resolved an issue where Malwarebytes failed to start in some cases when Windows Fast Startup was enabled

The change to the Component Package version number reflects an internal improvement of our versioning system, nothing to be worried about.
