I use Firefox, and for opening new tabs I set Blank Page. Is that what you mean with 'I do not use New Tab Page'?
In my (heavily css modified) Firefox : `about:newtab` with a custom blue sky gradient. In `my_userContent.css`; Code: @-moz-document url("about:newtab") { body { background: -moz-linear-gradient(90deg, #edf8ff 0%, #94d5ff 67%, #94d5ff 100%) !important; } }
@Stupendous Man @nicolaasjan Hi. What is the purpose of having a New Tab Page without any links from the websites you frequent most often? P.S. This is my New Tab Page (native feature) in Firefox,I deleted some links to preserve my privacy:
Right. The New Tab Page in Edge is a nightmare for both privacy and functionality to use without an extension.
I set 'Blank Page' for new tab page in Firefox because I don't need and don't want anything of the new tab options. For when I open Firefox, I set four pages as 'homepage', the four pages that I usually want to start with. Most other pages that I visit daily, I open from a list of URLs (similar to using bookmarks, or favorites).
Thanks. I did. I was a little in doubt as to whether I do not use New Tab Page at all. Sometimes I use the blank page to start about:config, or to paste a URL. But as I don't use Firefox native features for the new tab page, or an extension for new tab features, 'I do not use New Tab Page' is probably the most fitting.
Same as @Stupendous Man. Changed my vote. The new tab page does however serve as the first clean page when Firefox opens. Other sites/pages I frequent are already in the tabs next to it, or in my RSS feeds folder in the bookmarks bar (via the extension Livemarks).
Brave set to start in Youtube, LibreWolf to Facebook, the rest of the internet is blocked anyway. Same. Edge set to NewTab with a local Weather, Time and the Day of the week, since Windows has removed this useful info but added silly seconds. That is what favorites are for?!
Yes,but the operation is slower. Have you noticed that the favorites menu closes after the searched link is opened? So you have to click favorites,the tab where you saved what you want to search,the link you want to open............. I don't think forum members saved all their favorites in the bar. With New Tab Page the operation is faster. Then of course everyone sets up their New Tab Page as they prefer.
I did some testing with Bonjourr (Edge). I find it difficult to set a wallpaper from file in PC because it is impossible to adjust the file size. Is it possible to overcome this inconvenience? Another problem is the updating of liks every time I open the browser,it is very annoying,because there is no immediate availability of saved links. Is it possible to avoid this update? TH.
No matter. I now use Edge's default New Tab. I removed all links to Copilot/Bing and removed the accept/reject cookies prompt.
