why can't i perform a custom clean of selected items for example registry or system traces?
i think could be a nice feature

Hello @mantra,

On the left menu, click on "clean specific traces", then "registry".
It will only show options related to the registry.
OK?

yes , but when i open the results , i could only remove all of them

for example i have performed this scan , results 1824 traces , if i click on the 1824 traces i can see all of them or for example only mui cache , but i can not select only 1 item or more to clean

After this update PrivaZer won't scan past "Apps + Windows Store'.

just tested. It can scan & clean after "Apps + Windows Store'.
here is the scan result below. After the cleanup, no traces were left.

 

I don't Scan and Clean, I just scan first, then clean. When the scan gets to Apps + Windows Store it does not go any further X 2 Win10 machines.

You recently added Jdownloader to the list of downloaders to clean. About 2 years ago I requested that you add Jdownloader 2, but it has never appeared.
Jdownloader was replaced by Jdownloader 2 circa 2011. I cannot select jdownloader presumably because i do not have it installed and thus it would suggest that you are still not cleaning jdownloader 2.
Could you please reinstate this on your to-do list

OK, left long enough, the scan did eventually complete, so I will revise my report to:

A recent change in PrivaZer has added significant time to running PrivaZer.

After every new version installation I delete the istallation exe as part of disk housekeeping
Could you make it self cleaning?

yes, that's normal. PrivaZer is filling up the $MFT with 0000000000000000000.... filenames to overwrite previous data.

@takiabtom,
yes, you are right. There is no need to have an exe file remaining in the %localappdata%\privazer if the update is successful.

@Krusty,
Does it still hang when cleaning "Apps + Windows store" ?
If not, how much time does it take to scan it ?

Good. As expected/ Question PLS, is there then no need to also remove/wipe the Modified, Accessed/Created Timestamps (which i assume are those timestamps associated when the PrivaZer wipe was performed in the $MFT Index, and not necessarily the indexed data file DATE/TIME preceding PrivaZer wipe/clean, or to a lesser extent ATR? Please explain purpose if not. Thanks

 

it just shows the time when the cleanup was performed, nothing to do with your personal files.

Very comprehensive. This is the results of my recent $MFT Index wipe.
Used since Windows NT/2000/XP/Windows 7 if that can be of any help.
