    Hello @Krusty
    1. https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb4_offline Note: If you'd like to download the offline version of MB5, just change the 4 to a 5 in the URL.
    2. As of earlier this week's version, I believe this newest MBST will still download/install MB4 with a MBST Clean.
    3. Lifetime license: The lifetime license will still be honored for a premium license. However, I don't know if it is good for a Premium Plus license.
    Cheers

    Great, thank you.
I have no idea what the difference is. If it involves the VPN, not needed.

Yes. An active Premium Plus license would enable the Privacy VPN feature of MB5.

Original lifetime licenses likely would need to be reissued because the present licensing scheme only accepts a new physical form. E.g. If the licensing keys also came with a license ID, the licensing support folks will need to reissue, so the new license key typically has the form of four groups of five alphanumeric characters. (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)

Of course, this is free change. This is routinely handled by opening a support ticket with the Malwarebytes support group.

You may wish to check and see if your licenses are registered/present through the my.malwarebytes webpage.

Otherwise, lifetime license activation is the same as the usual purchased license activation.

    Thanks @1PW ,

I've opened a support ticket and will ask them if my licenses need to be reissued.

Keep us updated Krusty as I have 2 Lifetime licenses with both ID and Key. Don't need the VPN but, I need to know what to do.

I recently contacted Support as I needed to change my defunct email associated with my account. Support is excellent!

    Thanks,
    Robert

I feel sad , MB official seems abandoned Chinese language users ,
no idea why , they removed Chinese language in version 5 .
(Official had supports Chinese in V2 ~ V4)

I send a request for support to their customer service,
asking the issue of the disappearance of the Chinese language.
Their customer service only provided an unfeeling response
they did not mention the reasons or provide any explanation.
In the end, they only gave the unfeeling response,
stating that they would relay the feedback,
without giving any estimated time for when the Chinese language would be available again.

In short, there was no assistance provided at all.

No reply as yet. I realise that it can take a few days for them to get back in touch, so I'm not concerned, yet.

    Hello @KevinYu0504

While the Malwarebytes 5 product lines have officially been released to General Availability (GA), some issues are not discovered until more users have adopted the new version. This is because the beta testers are few compared to the later global distribution of millions.

Please help me. Although I am not an employee of Malwarebytes, personally have been sensitized to the language translations for Malwarebytes products long ago. What would be the most useful translation of Malwarebytes products for families and businesses in Taiwan?

As you may imagine, contracting for translation services is costly.

Which translation of the Firefox browser is the most popular in Taiwan? zh-CN or zh-TW?

If a typically born and educated citizen of Taiwan were to translate U.S. English to its most popular Chinese form in Taiwan, would that be Chinese (Simplified) or Chinese (Traditional)? Chinese Mandarin?

    Thank you.

Even though your ticket will be directed to the product licensing support person, your reply may take upwards of seven (7) business days (or so) after you have been issued an acknowledgement and case number with via an email reply.

My main language was Chinese ,
so I am well aware of the differences between Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese ,
If you are asking about language habits in Taiwan, Then it must be Chinese (Traditional) (zh-TW),
but if you take into account the number of Chinese language user,
then Simplified Chinese should still be used by the most people in China . (After all, there are 1.4 billion people)
P.S : What I’m referring to here is the Chinese market,
If it is only for Taiwan、Hong kong area , it will be Chinese (Traditional).

Indeed there is some differences between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
But many places are actually the same, and the main difference lies in some vocabulary.
There are actually many free conversion tools on the Internet now.
Can resolve differences between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

I know the languages used by Malwarebytes products,
This is all done by paying professional translators.
Rather than updating translations through volunteers,
But this make Chinese language user doubt whether MB is going to give up on the Chinese market.

They corrected the build number for the new Beta! The build version is 5.1.1.106 (no change) component package 1.0.1196 (new).

Well, I'm not sure their support rep' even speaks English to be honest. Their first reply explained how I could deactivate my licenses. That is not something I was asking about. Their next reply said that my licenses were attached to my email address and therefore I can activate my lifetime licenses by entering my email account and password, and that they can be used on MB 5.x.

I have asked again more clearly whether we would need to upgrade from MB 4.x to MB 5.x to use lifetime licenses with an ID.

All I did was install over top and I didn't see any issues.

Right, but as I asked here earlier, what happens down the track when MB 4.x is EOL and is no longer available? What happens if we want to, or need to do a clean install of MB 5.x down the track?

Okay understood. I'm fine with MB5 it's doing well On-Demand as I don't run it in real time.

I was running v4 on my lifetime license, then installed v5 over it, and it picked up my license

Hey, that's great. I'm not concerned about my license after an upgrade to MB 5.x. My concern is with a clean install of MB 5.x after reading the post in the thread I linked above, and earlier.

    Cheers.

Well, some good news regarding my licenses given to me by Marcin. I signed into my.malwarebytes.com and was successfully able to add one of them there. I don't know why I can't add the other, but I guess I'll have to cross that bridge if and / or when it comes.
