Are there any other adblockers, mainly for youtube, for android? I've tried adguard, but are there any others that actually work?

I am using AdBlock Plus for Samsung Internet. Blocks a lot, but doesn't block YouTube ads.

the official adguard app in chrome store is limited to two browsers. google dont like a full featured adguard (premium).

if you speak about the youtube app - adguard neither nor is able to defeat video ads, no way. and in-browser its also limited. the better way is to get adguard premium, you can use it for free, and limited, or licensed and full featured.

samsung browser is known, either i removed it or not used. my prefered browser is firefox+ublock, but i also can use chrome without ads, due adguard. i also have very few ads within apps.

if browser does not matter it has always benefit to trial firefox or chrome (which is also pre-installed).

chrome on android is closer to android and several google services than other browsers. a bit pity but we cant change it. due adguard, yes, no ads, and it contains a firewall. i also tried blokada, from store and the full featured (not paid), but for me somehow too complicated and not that successful as adguard.

i forgot to say, the adguard premium app is only available on adguard pages, also here

    v4 final apk
    https://adguard.com/de/adguard-android/overview.html
    or
    https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForAndroid

    stable/beta/nightly here
    https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForAndroid/releases
    current state
    stable: v4.0.912 4.0 stable
    beta: v4.1.97, 4.1.1 beta
    nightly: v4.2.2, 4.2.2 nightly
(numbers from VT, android might show the last digit different)

if you download and want install it, your file manager need rights to install apk from other sources than store. as file manager i prefer total commander (which has no ads)
    https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewforum.php?f=22
only here you get the version which is full featured, the version from store is crippled and has neither nor rights to install apk (google again). has also other advantages.

NextDNS, blocks ALL ads system wide on Android with no need for an app.

AdGuard DNS is an option as well.

Currently, it is not possible to remove ads from the official YouTube application on Android. You can use a different browser like Brave Browser or FireFox with appropriate ads blocking add on.

    Doesn't this work anymore?

Follow these steps to watch YouTube without ads
A two-step guide on how to do this:
Open YouTube app and start the video you want to watch.
Tap on the Share button and select AdGuard for Android from the list of apps.
That's it! A new window with the video will open where you'll be able to watch it without being interrupted by ads.

Since I don't use youtube on a mobile and only remember they posted about you have to try if it still works.

Mullvad DNS is a good option, if you live in Europe.
Otherwise it may not be performant enough.

USA still the best. But barely.
NetGuard downloaded ONLY from Github for adblocking which Google Play does not support. Made by a XDA member. Then Google for instructions on how to block ads with it. It uses a VPN service (benign).
