I don't trust a cloud Windows, neither for security, neither for privacy.

They can want whatever they want but I'm not going with them.

Maybe no more monthly Microsoft updates. Now that would be nice.

Windows in the cloud, free for now. Next year, or the year after, "Your favorite Windows will always be up to date, for a monthly subscription fee of $xx dollars." I can see it coming.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll keep this old laptop until parts can no longer be replaced, and keep my old Win 8.1 Pro ON it. It isn't that I don't trust the cloud. I just don't trust Microsoft.

Everything in the Cloud; what could possibly go wrong?

Optional right now. Many things start out as optional.

This is what I expect as well. I'll switch to Linux before I'll go along with this.

    Well, that's a bit of a backhander.
Meanwhile, back in the Linux camp, we're all laughing our heads off about MS users debating yet another potentially perceived problem from the House of Gates.

How so? Did you perceive that to be an insult to Linux? Not the intention, I just can't do it so far because of my job...

I do not see anything good coming of this. I will definitely not be using it at home or at work.
