Reflects my own happy (and definitely non-expert) experience very closely. Mine's an Asus-Intel mobo with AMD-ATI video, Broadcom wi-fi and an Epson all-in-one printer. No problem with any of that, except no scanning support for the Epson, but that's to be expected. Once I'm fully satisfied with my virtual Windows setup running a few indispensable things like Quicken financial management, I'm hooked for sure.
I've been using Mint 18.3 live USB for about two weeks now. It is worth installing, me thinks. The only annoyances are that it still needs to correct time zone to stay put after reboots, and that they turn my keyboard backlight on and that it has hibernation on the Quit menu which is poison for double or triple booting and no place to turn it off. I'll fix all that after installing, but I thought I should mention it.
