Yes thanks, I now see that just like with Vivaldi, you can also run multiple Firefox instances side by side.

The weird thing is that the Firefox version from portableapps.com refuses to run if another Firefox process is already running. So this is actually a disadvantage of their version. And correct, you shouldn't mess around with copying profiles to different versions, it's the same with Vivaldi, it will mess up stuff.

by purpose, change this switch in FirefoxPortable.ini -> AllowMultipleInstances=true

as using nsis there (the author's) need only to add a WMIC line to search for firefox and extract its path, compare it with the current running path and then add -no-remote to a new instance. but they decided to use this switch.

What do you guys think, does this make Mozilla look bad? With that I mean, all of a sudden they now support Google. Just like they all of a sudden started tracking people silently. Are they really that privacy oriented?

no, thats wrong. but not recommended. and its only a message, you can ignore it and the update is performed on next firefox startup. if user feel bothered, each 4 weeks once to say, hard to say why to use a vulnerable and not proper working version.
the most recent reason to avoid updates are very specific customizations to firefox.

"bad" in what way? offering or using google search in a browser where user have the choice to switch?
currently mozilla started a partnership with ecosia/quant to build its own search engine. be sure that this is one conclusion about such question from the Department Of Justice (DOJ).

your other rumor was explained too much and extensive.

What do you mean with ''it's wrong.'' So it should be possible to block this annoying message? I have tried everything, but it didn't work.

Firefox should be ashamed of themselves, such a crap browser. There is almost no innovation at all, certain features can only be configured via about:config, no tab stacking, no workspaces, no tabbased bookmark/history manager.

They get $500 million a year from Google, but they have barely improved the browser. My plan 10 years ago was always to switch from Opera 12 to Firefox Quantum, but Vivaldi is at least 10x better. Even RAM usage of Firefox is just as bad as Chromium based browsers. And let's not forget that they act like they good for privacy, but it's mostly a scam.

This build seems to have resolved an issue I've been having with YouTube for some time, where FF would become unresponsive after a while, especially if I had multiple tabs open.

Sounds like the ghost windows bug was your issue.

In Firefox version 134.0.1 I see available updates listed.

    Language:English (CA)
Firefox Language Pack for English (CA) (en-CA)

    Language:English (GB)
Firefox Language Pack for English (GB) (en-GB)

Are they absolutely necessary to update or can I just
remove them? I have English (US) used to display menus,
    messages, and notifications from Firefox.

    @Compu KTed,
Earlier, I had the same: en-US, en-CA, and en-GB, the language packs, and in Settings, Language.
Some months ago, I removed en-CA, and en-GB, in Settings, and the language packs.
    No issues, works fine.
