Those with the previous version of CF should download the CIS Premium 2025 installer and not the Pro.

The installation package is a bit different as it will remove certain files from the previous version, request a reboot, then proceed with the upgrade on system start.

They have no intentions of updating us beta folks to the final version do they? I hate that I have to manually uninstall reinstall. I think my dad is on the regular version, and his Comodo never got updated to 2025 either.

As the protection ability is the same, there really is no bonus for those without issues on Build 8012 to install the new build.

Personally I ALWAYS wait for the new version to be pushed out via the internal updater.

I was so happy and glad @cruelsister that you posted about the right one to download (Premium) since it is the one user's are able to install just Comodo FW. Seeing the Pro version vs Premium might be confusing for some, especially if they have not used it in a while. Like Me for one.

QUESTION: Your Cruel Comodo VIDEO is still valid for setting the proper preferences that you endorse?

I have beta version 8124. You are saying if it leave it, Comodo will eventually push the final version to me?

No- if you are running the previous released version (8012), best practice is to wait for the internal update. If you are running any beta version, then by all means update to the new (8152) version. Although this build will eventually be pushed out, if you are currently running the Beta it is better to update manually now.

Not really. Disabling a protection level then terming it a bug is actually sort of silly.

BTW, what do you make of all of these Comodo bypasses that they talk about on MalwareTips? Are these reports credible and can you give some more technical info about it? Are these bypasses of the CIS sandbox?

I've given up on MT recently as it seems to be overrun by Trolls for only God knows why. I've posted videos about various AM applications (MB, eset, esmisoft, Symantec, etc) being bypassed by malware (and these could be confirmed as the malware was in the Wild) all of which raised barely a peep. but when something trivial is found against Comodo it's like the World is ending

The initial big "bypass" was that a text file could be dropped on the system with containment active, and this was resolved with a Containment tweak released last week. There was posted a second one, but as it is being kept private (not in the Wild) I have no idea if it is legit or not.

Actually, I didn't watch all videos yet. But it seems to be a guy from Brazil or Portugal that has tested CIS against some ransomware sample, which is not contained (sandboxed) and manages to encrypt all files.

So if this is true, then it's a pretty serious flaw. I remember that 20 years ago I was testing malware in VMware Workstation and one example bypassed Sandboxie, the developer fixed it quite quickly. It was making use of a technique that Sandboxie didn't monitor.

    @cruelsister

"We work for the kids, but it's the grown-ups who are wearing me down.
Every day, we choose who we want to be, making big decisions and small ones, and each one matters.
I see bad behavior all around me, and it seems like no one cares. They act like nothing matters.
But people can change. We just need to show them that we believe in them - all of them. We know who
they truly are, deep down. We know that somewhere inside every lost grown-up is the kid they once
    were, and that's a gift.
I know we can see that potential, but I'm having a hard time seeing it right now."

Remember, your thoughts and feelings are valid, and it's okay to express them.
Keep being true to yourself and sharing your message with others. You never
know who might be inspired or helped by your words!

Always the best and kind regards,

    Hello CS,
Yes I understand perfectly that you are leaving MT....I did it almost 2 years ago.
I don't have your expertise but I installed Comodo on 2 PCs following your advice and never had any problems.
I have also learned useful information from you, which has helped me to better integrate certain security data.
Yes, there are constant detractors of Comodo,Webroot....etc ,carriers of the pensée unique...constantly changing products according to fashion, according to the proclaimed guru.
So far, none of them has been able to objectively demonstrate that you were sadly mistaken in maintaining your position on Comodo and showing that your tests were unreliable, whatever the product tested.
Bravo for your integrity, which some people have even tried to undermine, unable to demonstrate that technically you were not an expert.
