    @Sampei Nihira, bug confirmed no cookies are cleared, except deleting them one by one.
    @TairikuOkami, running Edge on Debian so no msedgewebview2 and nothing running in background when Edge is closed.

    Might be just the clear all button which could be misconfigured, when i clic on it, edge go back to main settings page.

    If you try to send feedback there's a chance you'll get that weird cookie that doesn't get deleted even with single trash.
    I deleted it but I did so many “evolutions” to be able to delete it that I can't say which of these evolutions was the right move.

    There are 2 flags that I enabled.
    To me it looks like similar,if not indentical, protection to "Total Cookie Protection" in Firefox:

    • Bind cookies to their setting origin's port
    • Bind cookies to their setting origin's scheme

    Yes,but cookie stealing has become easier to bypass,even with DBSC.
    Unfortunately in Edge even if I delete cookies on exit I have come across persistent cookies several times.
    This is one of the reasons why I currently have 8 cookies blocked in the browser.
    Interesting in this regard to read an article by our own Michele Nasi:

    So I think that for various reasons it is advisable to enable these flags
