Yes O&O shut up only sets policies and registry tweaks Major privacy can using its driver actually force windows into compliance, we can for example reliably prevent CompatTelRunner.exe from executing a single byte of code. The new logging mechanisms allow to audit conveniently which files and folders are being accessed by the many processes running.
Maybe so, but the average user, me included, will not know how to accomplish that since it lacks that particular info. O&O, for instance does that. So, again, the header - Major Privacy, does not "speak", to an average user. The impression is more of control, as you confirmed with your answer.
Well the question, or may be the challenge is now to find way to develop the UI such that the average user will be empowered to do that without the need for special super secret knowledge. So suggestions welcome!
Info for every change that is possible. Small bubbles with an - i - in to highlight text. Or, maybe a Guide for what and how to do what.
