Yes it was fixed by updating Malwarebytes.

Restore Points - A week or so ago I reported via your website that the latest version of Privazer was not showing any restore points. Also if I try to create a restore point using Privazer I get a message that says, "Creation of restore point failed."

However, restore points are showing up in the System Protection panel and I can use the panel to create new restore points.

As I do not have a copy of that email I am posting here so I have somewhere to track this issue.

    • I've noticed that Privazer has "Secure deletion + Trim" for SSD.
    • How often can you use it?
    • Once a week? Once a month?
    • Is it damaging to the SSD?
    • What about secure deletion of the Internet browsing?

if you want to destroy your SSD!?
as always for >20 years - chose what to delete if you exit browser.
futile piece of software for this.
the problem behind: your used browser dont know about and most common display wrong pages because some content is not in cache.

Just change the cleanup option for SSD to normal deletion.

It just happened - my HDD computer crashed, and in order not to waste a lot of time to get it repaired, I've ordered a new computer.
Almost ALL computers now come with SSD; therefore, I was pushed to accept that 1 tb. SSD, but...
With my HHD, I was always using Privazer's "Clean my Internet traces in 1 Click" after I'd closed my browser.
Can I do the same with my SSD?
    What about "wear and tear?"

Also, I've noticed that Privazer's Ram cleaning does not have the "Trim" option.
    Most probably, I'm missing something.

What is the difference on the SSD while using:
    1.) Secure deletion + Trim,
    and
    2.) Normal deletion + Trim?

    Hello guys,

Normal deletion + TRIM is sufficient in 99% of cases.
Sending a TRIM command to SSD will request the SSD controller to erase previous data with zero.
This will defeat recovery software and it won't wear out your SSD.
The problem is that the erasure can take some time, it's not immediate and some parts of the drive may not be zeroed.

SECURE deletion + TRIM is for users who need a maximal privacy protection.
It will defeat recovery software + any sophisticated techniques that experts may use that could rebuild the data of your previous files.
It will wear out your SSD more as free sectors are overwritten, but modern SSD have a huge lifespan now.

What setting do I need in order for PrivaZer to clear the history from Run (Windows + R)?

I just started using PrivaZer after not using it for several months. I just installed the latest version of PrivaZer in a laptop running Win 11, and before, I was running Windows 10. PrivaZer no longer shows a report for each drive of what it did, including how much space it freed. Is this different in the latest version, or do I need a new setting for this?

    Hello @chileverde,

we have no cleanup history for all drives.
Maybe we should create one but privacy protection was the reason of not having one.
maybe we should offer the option.

The setting for clearing the history from Run is here :

I think you did not understand my question about results. I am not looking for a history of what PrivaZer did in previous sessions. I posted because, when I used PrivaZer after upgrading it, after not using it at all for several months, I no longer saw reports immediately after a scan regarding the scan which had just finished. Today, I did a scan and did get the report I was looking for. I am referring to the two windows that display for each drive that was scanned which are titled (in the case of the C: drive) "Secure cleanup of C: COMPLETED". The first window that appears shows a number for "New free space", and an arrow points to a number the represents the increase in free space due to the scan. After I close that window, another window appears with the same title but with some partially different information. For some unknown reason these windows did not appear after my first scan after upgrading, but they did appear today, so I consider the problem solved. I am only looking for this information for the scan just completed, not for past scans. Today I did get it, so the problem is solved.

Regarding Run history, I realized after studying your screenshot that I had not noticed the bar on the right side which I needed to pull down to reveal additional options, including Run history. I discovered that I already had Run history checked, but PrivaZer was not deleting it. I think that must be because I also have checked Do not clean registry. I have that checked because I do not want PrivaZer to clean the entire Registry, because I have read that it can cause problems. I found a way to manually delete the Run history from the Registry.

I think that in the future, I will run the program in question with a command at the Command Prompt. Is it correct that a command typed at the Command Prompt is not saved after that Command Prompt session is closed?

Will you quit? I mean there is no way you can make this program any better. Yet you keep doing it! :) Seriously I love the new interface. Much easier to read. Thank you.

Is there any plan to integrate Shellbag Analyzer/Cleaner into Privazer? I currently run it separately after Privazer finishes.
