@bjm_ we're looking into the cleaning rule duplication issue. I may come back with some questions on this regarding your setup.

Hi @stapp Could you by chance offer your own opinion to how our famed ole CCleaner stacks up to satisfaction from your own results in if or when you use it? Thank You
@EASTER ... I use it very carefully. It does what I want it to do just using the basic custom cleaning. I hardly have any cookies because of using Sandboxie. I don't use any of the PC Health Check and Software Updater stuff.
this is what cc's supposed to be like, and exactly the way i use it. mr @Stephen CCleaner had asked for our feedback but it seems they used none of it.
Same here. Why is it so hard for them to provide a simple, no-frills Windows cleaner? No "extra" features, no "health check", no software updater, no phoning home, just a simple cleaner.
FWIW I like CCleaner and have now forgiven them for the debacle a few years ago. I only update occasionally, using the slim version, and block all phone homes with a simple rule in WFC. It keeps my aging laptop in excellent running order.

agh, first they asked for our feedback, and now they're making it more and more bloated with every new release. way to go, avast! way to go...
Our customer feedback sample size includes more than just a handful of voices because we have more than just a handful of customers. This was not an 'Avast' decision, by the way. CCleaner operates as a fairly independent business unit within Avast. We're happy to take the credit or criticism for our product decisions on the chin.
so i should keep my very rare used "5.76.8269"? If i want a full featured system tool i would use glary's tool. Driver updater - pfft. it is well known that such tools destroy windows, in case of windows 10 absolute futile, windows 10 can do on its own. Windows 8 has a market share of <4%, less than windows 7 which is EOL for the mass.
then let me tell you this, mr. ccleaner. we, as those handful of customers, have more than just a handful of choices of cleaners. congrats on your decision to ruin what once was a simple yet very useful cleaner.
They are destroying one of the main reasons I used to use CCleaner, that it only does what its supposed to. Now a driver updater, soon a software updates, and next, an all in one snake oil suite that will shred your computer like.... (not gonna name them here)
