Agreed. I was hoping Microsoft would offer better options than they currently do. VirtualPC was a nice program they bought out and ran into the ground. The Hyper-V and Windows Sandbox products need hardware support that isn't available on half of the machines I have access to and the software is unreliable on most of the rest of them. Of course they would prefer we use their cloud based options. Not interested.
Yes, I remember when they started to talk about Hyper V years ago, I became excited, but apparently it isn't all that, not that I've ever tried it. But I did enjoy using VMware Workstation back in the days, I did lots of security tool testing. But I don't do that stuff anymore, so I didn't bother to install VirtualBox.
