Hi @ Wilders When I tried Evorim I found that in the Apps columns, All, Inactive etc. It was easy to delete accidentally an App. There is a trash can to one side. The problem the that I found was there appears to be no mechanism for replacing the App so that it can be controlled. I accidentally deleted Google Chrome, repeated re starts did not get Chrome back in the list. I could use Chrome but it was out of the control of Free Firewall. I wrote to the developer for advice so far no joy. Terry
Interesting, hopefully more people will test the newest version. It seemed to have potential but from what I've read the quality wasn't that high in the first versions. But did it correctly block outgoing connections, did you test it?
Is it possible to create rules for specific protocol, direction, port(s) and IP addresses? How is the logging in this firewall? Is it clear and detailed?
Is it just me or has the GUI also been redesigned, looks pretty cool. I would like to know if it now works correctly.
Thanks indeed. They have added customizing rules? Finally, going to test it out ASAP. EDIT: Well then, it seems, that it will take another 2-3 versions before it gets usable. Rules lack any IP address/TCP/UDP and such. Not to mention, that rules do not take effect immediately after Save, but upon closing/re-launching exe, that is pretty dumb. If you have a running malware and you will decide to block it, it will not get blocked until restart.

I don't understand the need to (or even how to) retain one restore point indefinitely. I'd be more comfortable to try if there were a reset button or if uninstall reset changes.
Malwarebytes didn't block their site on my machine, but the MB Firefox extension did block the download. You can still download the installer though.
Have they fixed any of those important ones yet like needing to restart for the running malware if you block it using this? Thanks. I like to install this firewall at some point if it turns out to work properly.
No, they have not. Deleted the rule, the app still connecting, until I actually restarted the firewall or until I turn it off and on. Not to mention, it seems to auto allow some running exes at random. It is like a joke app. The lack of the certificate is merely a cherry on top.
Evorim Free Firewall. Would surely like to get this to run on my Windows 10 machine, but it won't. It says the program has installed correctly. But when I try to open it, All I get is a white box with a black circle that goes around and around, forever. Have disabled all firewall, virus scanner, etc that might interfere, but no help. Have also run ad admin, but that no help either. Mesaged the developer but has not so far responded. If anyone reads this and has a suggestion, would be grateful.
Slow growing (I guess). Might could make for a decent addition for those 8.1 systems as it continues to develop. Let's see
It looks like an interesting tool, but I have read so many negative things about it, that I will have to pass.
