Windows Update system has the ability or feature to download, besides updates and hotfixes, device drivers which have been updated for Microsoft. This feature in wumt is specially useful on Windows 10 to stop driver download which are forced by default. Many people don't need / want to update device drivers through WU.

Yeah i get that, then you tick or untick the box but what is the use of the rectangular blob state. What does it accomplish?
The blob? I thought I knew what the option meant -- driver results are either returned or not -- and maybe that's the case, but the release notes say: "Added the ability to manage search and automatic driver installation (through Group Policy). It works since Anniversary Update." So maybe with it unchecked, it not only doesn't return driver results but also implements the policy that blocks them (really, a Registry change ultimately). The latter would seem beyond the scope of the program.
Currently we maintain (shewolf and me) a wumt thread @MDL (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/64939-Windows-Update-MiniTool) You have to register to even look contents there, then check out if your lang has been uploaded before by someone cause there are some contributors for lang.ini already. Another alternative is to go to the main site or thread here: http://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=48142#2 Again, you need to register in order to see or upload anything...
I started getting this message in WU 10 days ago "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800705b4)" I can log into my Admin account, change some settings (untick "updates for MS Apps"...) and get updates to install, but if i change the settings back - the message reappears. would WUMT likely help with this issue?
Hello, would like to try this bad boy on my HP laptop windows seven.. hit the link to download and it takes me to a forum that I need to join would rather not join another forum...is there another place to acquire this program? and the english lang. file? thank you G
Hello. The English lang is already hardcoded in the program, I did the lang translation btw. I'm going to ask moderators to edit first post for me to update it. Meanwhile you can get safely via the following links: DL: Code: All versions: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/3E95/kvd9WCbUq Latest one: https://www.upload.ee/files/6361762/wumt_v30.09.2016.zip.html http://vshare.io/d/3311385/ File : wumt_v30.09.2016.zip Size : 2.32 MB SHA1 : 81ADB7E58E1D99D76948FC5D1928FB7425637EE1 SHA256 : 2A46082037F9AC72C32833E310AB9B9495D6790C669850C68E4AF7ED35599327

trying out the software and have a few questions. I did a scan and it found what it calls all drivers but the one in question is really why would firmware be a driver and am wondering what I would have on my computer that would require this firmware. after looking at my screen shot, you will notice the company. a google search brings up a few companies. one the NSA was watching closely and the other makes smart phones and I do not have a smart phone connect to my computer. I have a LG tv connected and a router that I am pretty sure it was not made by them. when I go into my router software and check for a firmware update for that is shows I have the latest. so that entry in this program bothers me. and help would me appreciated.
Does it show up when running WU itself? I mean no wumt program involved. Please try it and tell if that entry is populated in the list.
it didn't show up in any windows update, this is the first I have seen it. my screen shot shows it clearly. it is labled by this tool as a driver the the info says firmware update. mr x I think I might not be understanding your question? mood? I see I am not alone with this issue and I am running a dell but I do have an iPhone 4 not even 4 s lol
here is what this program shows about it. Class: firmware Model: Huawei system firmware 1.0 Hardware id: uefi\res_{7039436b-6acf-433b-86a1-3868ec2ef7e1f} Date: 2/18/2016 doesn't that sound like a hard drive thing? and I didn't think they made those.
After searching i found something with the same ID. The Manufacturer is Microsoft After searching for the Class Guid i found a Microsoft-Document.
Yes I did a search couple hours ago: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=38405 https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...bringup/windows-uefi-firmware-update-platform However I'm still awaiting advice from the developer and one friend of mine.
