Is there any news when this new version will be coming? I ask because I am looking to cancel my subscription to BlackICE firewall in favour of a intergrated security solution.

I've spoken to ESET about this already and they reckon the BETA/Stable release will happen during Summer 2006. So in other words, very soon.

I though the final version would be ready in September but stable (non-public) BETA is fine :D

Hi, Should I wait on this or go ahead and get LnS. I have the trail right now, but it ends soon.

I'd wait longer. Use one of the other myriad free or trial firewalls while you wait. It's getting closer!

Thanks AshG, one other question. I already have NOD32, will I get a discount, just pay for update or have to start over?

No pricing models have been set yet, however as per normal the update of purely virus protection software from v2.5 to 3.0 will be free for current license holders. Upgrades to the security suite will more than likely be at additional cost, however this is still speculation.

    Cheers :D

would like to know if the firewall is based on one of the commercial firewalls out there like outpost, kero,LnS or is this an inhouse firewall coded from scratch?

Not to stir the pot here, but have we been given a hint that things are close? Maybe I'm blind and haven't noticed it before, but it looks like the forum description has changed on the main page... Below the Beta Forum link, it now says "discussions about the new NOD32-Beta" and gives a link to an Eset page that doesn't exist yet.

    I'm getting tingley!

I really wonder what direction Eset will be heading with 3.0. NOD32 is now a class on its own. Stable, fast, solid and no fluff.

But when it comes to Internet Security Suites; I've yet to see a recent Personall Firewall achieve that level (usually more problems than they're worth) and anti-spam is best left to the ISP and integrated in the MUA.

Hmm, I'm not looking forward to a suite. I've just moved away from the likes of McAfee due to their bloated suites trying to push sales of extra products. I certainly hope that the NOD Enterprise product is not going to look like the screen shots & have the bloat.

Biscuit, the NOD32 stand-alone Antivirus will still exist as version 3.0 ;)

looks nice cant wait to try it out will it be compatible with windows me and 200 as well as xp?

also any ideas how light it will be considering it has antispam and firewall as well as the anti virus

i am looking for a secuirty suite that is quite light aka lighter than f-secure and kaspersky.

I dont really want to have to get separate antivirus and firewall i prefer suites but i now want a ligher suite.

    i currently have f-secure suite.

Do you know if NOD will be sending out email to license holder about the new security suite when they do release it?

As a reseller, I am overly anxious to play with it. I can't wait and as soon as it is stable, I will be installing it on all my systems/servers

    Can't Wait!!! :D:D:D:cool:

ESET's product is a benchmark, in my opinion, of what other companies need to follow.
