A glitch with KB5036892 in Win10. After rebooting it stopped/froze at 99% -> hard reboot -> stopped/froze at 96% -> hard reboot -> finally completed successfully ... happily for the third time :)

:) drinking tea until today (50 liters;)), and people still complain about this KB5035441, honesty it's better to resize or avoid this WinRe partiton, as i said i never create this partition during install (diskpart) and never had any issue, if M$ is really working on this issue, it should be solved during past month, but let's hope.

    Anyone install this one?

    2024-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5036892)

Some people on another forum were saying the preview version installed a nag to update to Windows 11 when you start up; and installed some other potentially undesirable stuff.

Probable should've mentioned, though it goes without saying, the nag to update to Windows 11 only shows up on systems eligible for the update.

today i read that MS is not going to fix it soon. thats pity and not nice. i explained that its better not to install an update which is not vital instead messing up with buggy scripts or more and cause a massif data loss while messing around with partitions.
anyone is free to try out him/herself - with a backup!

btw all systems - any latest update - all fine.

April CU and dot NET manually installed from Windows Catalog on W10 Home without problem, except for the unneeded KB5034441 continuing to show an error.

Just curious, has microsoft fixed the KB5034441 error?
I used wushowhide to hide it, so I don't see those errors anymore, but has it been fixed by microsoft?

    Thanks, digmore.
Fwiw, all other updates are installing ok here, and the many many "failed" notifications have disappeared from my windows update list.

Installed KB5037724 and KB5036979 (for Win 10) today. No problems so far.

For Win11 on another PC KB2267602 and KB5036980 were successfully installed.
